Travel and holidays

Hello

Today I have to talk about my holiday well that’s not a problem.

Every year on my holidays I go backpacking with my friends, we usually separate in groups of two or three, if you are more than three people do not take you in their cars mostly because they’re traveling with their family.  

Last summer I went to Peru with a friend of mine, we take a bus from Santiago to Arica, and then another bus to Tacna, it’s a beautiful place, and the sub20 soccer world cup was on that time so me and my friend travel to Arequipa and saw Chile vs. Brazil. Then we take a train to go to Aguas calientes the city under Machupichu. I have to say it was a lovely trip, I ate a lot of typical food, fruits and the landscape was amazing I love to go back there someday.

For next summer I’m thinking to travel with my girlfriend we want to go to Aysen, travel around the south of Chile, so we hope this thing with the volcano in Puyehue gets better. Anyway we have like 6 months to decide it.

Maybe in some years I would like to go to Colombia that’s a country that call my attention, I don’t know exactly why but I think that someday I’ll travel there.

A photograph I like

Hello again

This time I’m going to tell you about this picture, this photo was taken in Arco’s Factory, it’s a factory that makes candy. I was in Buenos Aires in 2009 backpacking with my friends and we went to see this factory they have all this kinds of candy all with different colors and shapes and what is most important different flavors.

I think I like this picture because it’s kind of cool, and the colors are great also remember me a good time, that was a good trip we went to see the BOMBONERA stadium, it’s a great stadium really big.

To be really honest I don’t like so much taking pictures, only when I’m on trip just to remember the places where I have been. I have a camera but it’s not digital it’s analogous.

When I travel with my friends they have digital cameras so they take the pictures and then send it to me by email. But last year my friend did not have a camera so I bring mine.

Most of my pictures are digital so they are stored on computer I just have a few printed I think my Mom have a lot of printed pictures of me when I was a kid.

Children!

When I was a child I wanted to be an astronaut, I think that’s because I was always watching the sky at night.  Also when I was a kid I played a lot of play station or Nintendo my favorite game was “Mortal Kombat” anyway I never was a child who stayed at home all day I liked to go out and play with my friends too.

Now I’m no longer a child I have 22 years old but I still like to play computer games, I have to say that I like kids, I really think they are quite interesting but I don’t chose this career because I like kids I chose it because I like education.

I think one of the greatest things of been a child is the way you look the world around you, it’s like everything it’s new, they have the ability to be surprised so easily. But adults generally think of kids like they were dumb, so they treat them like dumb.

I believe that children nowadays are different from children from 50 years ago, but that’s because the time changes, the child’s imagination changes through time because Scientifics advances, or investigation. Also nowadays kids have more access to information than 50 or 100 years ago.

My favourite piece of technology

Hello again

Well I have to tell you about my favorite piece of technology. That not hard for me, definitely my favorite piece is my Computer. I have it for 4 years.

I use my computer for everything, for watch movies or series, because I don’t have a TV in my room, to play computer games with  my friends and to see my email, my facebook, and to search anything I need.

I use it everyday, I always have to check my email because I always have meetings so to know where and when we are going to meet I need to see my email. Also y play almost every night, it’s my way to relax.

I think I could live without it, but obviously it would be more difficult, the computer allows you to do a lot of things.  It can’t work for entertainment or for work, nowadays almost every work they ask you at the university have to be written by computer and you have to send it by email.

My free time!

This time I’ve to talk about my free time, I really don’t have much free time, when I’m not at university I’m in Renca, I work there in the “nueva escuela” where I do a children workshop with other students of the university, and Wednesday and Thursday I have to go because I do literacy for a old lady.

But when I’m not doing any of that, I’m in meetings.

So like you can see I’ve little free time in my life, so when I have it I like to spend it with my friends or my mate.

If I spend it with my friends we usually play computers games, or we like to drink a beer from time to time.

  

If I spend it with my mate we like to go out to walk around Santiago, and maybe eat an ice-cream or something, that depend on the weather, but sometimes we are so tire that we just wanted to stay home and watch a movie eating something, like pop corn.

And when I have like a weekend off, I like to travel to Rancagua to visit my family.

I think I try to do my best on my free time, I don’t have much so when I have it I try to enjoy it.

Music

Hey pals

This time I've to write about music so I hope you like it.

I usually listen to music when I’m on the computer or when I need to relax. Some of my favorites groups are Babasonicos, Silvio Rodriguez, Soda Stereo and Tiro de Gracia. It does depend of my humor the kind of music that I like to hear.

In 2007 I went to Soda Stereo concert, but it’s not the only concert I’ve attend.  I went to see Silvio some years ago with my Mom. And last year I went to the “abrazo 2010” where a lot of groups play and one of them was Babasonicos.

I don’t have any talent for music, I don’t sing very well and I don’t play any instrument, but I like listen to music with my friends or with my mate.

I can’t imagine the world without music, I think music, like theater or other kinds of arts, are expressions of how people see the world that around them. It can be a way to protest against society or to cherish life. For some cultures especially the oldest one, use music for to pass knowledge from generation to generation, or to praise the gods.

Anyway music exists and we should enjoy it.
